About the Instructor

This training is led by Manicka Thomas, LISW-S, Clinical Director of Kindred Connections Therapy Center. Manicka is a licensed clinical social worker and supervisor with experience supporting children, families, and caregivers through trauma, behavioral challenges, and emotional regulation.

Through her work, she has helped parents, therapists, and social workers better understand behavior, respond with confidence, and build stronger, more connected relationships. Her trainings focus on practical, real-life strategies that can be used in everyday moments, making complex mental health concepts easier to understand and apply.

Manicka brings a compassionate, trauma-informed approach that meets families where they are and helps them move forward with clarity and confidence.
